Tottenham Court Road.
I want to leave my car away from City Centre and looking on AutoRoute, Brent
Cross area seems ideally placed. Does anyone know if there are any safe and
secure Car Parks around Brent Cross Underground?
I don't think that there's any parking at all around Brent Cross
Underground (this is a long way from the shopping centre of the same
name, incidentally). If you're coming down the M1, you could try
Stanmore, at the end of the Jubilee Line. That has a large car park on
which, although it gets pretty busy, I've almost always been able to
find a space.
Leave the M1 at Junction 4; the slip road crosses over the motorway to
the right. Continue along this to a roundabout, turn right and
Stanmore Station is about 1 mile ahead on the left hand side. The car
par entrance is signposted but is easy to miss, being immediately before
the entrance.
All day parking costs GBP2.50 and you'll need the exact money for the
machine (free on Sundays, though).
Then take the Jubilee Line to Bond Street and change onto the Central
Line to Tottenham Court Road.
